Parents,

Can you believe it's the last day of April?! The weeks following spring break always seem to fly by! Over the next few weeks, we will be reviewing topics that we covered this year, practice social/emotional skills that will help us interact with our peers, and work on kindergarten transition activities. 

Next week, we will start meeting with you about the progress that your child has made in Pre-K this year. These conferences are especially important because we share your child's strengths and offer strategies for the summer to help with your child's areas of growth. Parents,

We have finished up our unit on Shadows and Reflections and have started Make It Move. In this unit, the children will learn all about different types of movement (push/pull), speeds, and will use classroom objects to create ramps to roll different objects. Please see the newsletter below for more information!

As the end of the year approaches, we are focusing on activities and skills that will prepare the children for the transition to kindergarten. Some of the things that you can be working on at home (in addition to homework) are:

-Writing first and last name using upper and lowercase letters
-Writing and identifying upper and lowercase letters and the sounds that they make
-Counting and identifying numbers 1-20
-Persevering through challenging tasks
-Cutting with scissors

Families,

March has flown by in a whirlwind! Spring Break is upon us, and I know the kiddos are ready for a break! As soon as we get back from spring break, the year is going to FLY by!!

This week, we started our new unit on shadows and reflections. Below is the newsletter corresponding with our lessons for next week with questions to ask, extension activities, the vocabulary we are focusing on, etc...

We SO enjoyed looking through the activities that you and your children did together for the digital learning day. A lot of learning and FUN looked like it was occurring!
