We have finished up our unit on Shadows and Reflections and have started Make It Move. In this unit, the children will learn all about different types of movement (push/pull), speeds, and will use classroom objects to create ramps to roll different objects. As the end of the year approaches, we are focusing on activities and skills that will prepare the children for the transition to kindergarten. Some of the things that you can be working on at home (in addition to homework) are:
-Writing first and last name using upper and lowercase letters
-Writing and identifying upper and lowercase letters and the sounds that they make
-Counting and identifying numbers 1-20
-Persevering through challenging tasks
-Cutting with scissors
